The program requires a minimum of 120 credits of which at least 60 credits are prerequisites and liberal education courses (see liberal education requirements on onestop). Junior courses include biochemistry, microbiology, and genetics. Senior courses involve two semesters of professional coursework in hematology, coagulation, clinical chemistry and urinalysis, microbiology/mycology/virology/parasitology and immunohematology/immunology/molecular diagnostics. All required and highly recommended courses, e.g., anatomy and pathophysiology must be taken A-F.
Writing Intensive Courses: Students must take four writing intensive courses. These courses are in addition to freshman writing as currently required. At least two of the four required writing intensive courses must be taken at 3xxx or above. MedT 4127W: Introduction to Management and Education I is required for the program and serves as one of the upper division writing intensive courses.
